QB Dreams....

This was Austin's first year playing football and he loved it. And for years I've been teasing him trying to get him to realize that the kicker is the "best" position on the team(or so it would seem for a worried mom)...Think about it, they rarely get hurt, all they have to focus on is kicking the ball, and that field goal can win (or lose) the game with seconds to go on the clock and you're the hero!!! Well despite my years of pounding this in his head, he decided the Quarterback was the best position to play. All kidding aside, I really don't mind him playing football. I'm not the kind of mom who freaks out every time he gets hit or comes home with bruises. I'm so happy to see him loving to play the game. Bart loves football too. Growing up in Cleveland he's a die hard Cleveland fan. (Yeah and I still married him) He hasn't had much to cheer about though in a looooong time. But I've worked on him for the last 17 years and I think he's more of a Bengals fan throughout the year. Even though we both may not have much to cheer about this year. Doesn't he look happy? This is after getting to play Quarterback for the second half of the game against CCS. We crushed them 40 to 8.
Here's the whole middle school team.
Amber and Nolan at the game. Amber's so good with Nolan. She walked him around during the game so Uncle Gail and Aunt Lisa could watch the game. Check out Nolans' dirty little face... He'd been having fun picking up rocks.
