Yes, it's finally here... My 39th birthday. My last year in my 30's. Can I really be turning the corner and heading to 40 already??? When I was younger, much younger, I always thought 40 was "OLD". Who could blame me, you know with all the black decorations, the wrinkly people on the birthday cards, walking canes, and even those stupid little black jelly beans in a bottle labeled, "OVER THE HILL PILLS". What's up with that hill anyway? But then again, if 40 is over the hill, then at 39 you must reach the "summit" of the hill and what a view that must be. Anyway, that's the attitude I'm taking this year. I'm happy where I am in life. I wouldn't want to go back to any other stage. So 40, I'm ready for ya... Well, at least I have 364 days left to get ready for ya.
What a birthday though. Get out of school early because of the snow !!(YEAH) Drive, or should I say creep, a 15 minute drive home in 1 hour (UGH). Bart and the kids were planning to take me out for dinner, but frantically changed those plans to finding what ever they could in the fridge. Amber took charge, and created a beautiful birthday brownie cake, complete with candles in the shape of a heart. It was so cute to see them both excited about making something special for my birthday. They are such great kids, I'm so incredibly blessed !!!
