Happy Easter

Okay class, here's your lesson for today.... Do you know how the date for Easter is determined?

Well, Easter is always the first Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Vernal Equinox (which is March 20) The Vernal Equinox is when the day and the night are exactly the same length. This date is based on the lunar calendar that the Hebrew nation used to identify passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar. This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives. Anyone who is 95 years or older has seen it this early once before. But the next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be in the year 2228. Two Hundred Twenty (220) years from now!!! So there's a good chance even our grandchildren may never see it come this early again.
